Artist Finds Photos of Random People, Transforms Them into Illustrated Characters

Rather than using a friend or a relative as his muse, artist Julio Cesar has an alternative source of inspiration–the illustrator randomly selects people who've posted pictures online and recreates them as fun, illustrated characters. Overall, there's something quite playful about the artist's illustrations. The brilliant colors, flowing brushstrokes, and coquettish facial expressions definitely add to this effect.

Vibrant Illustrations Blend Beauty of Nature and Fashion with Colored Pencils

Artist Morgan Davidson has the ability to create nature and fashion-inspired works of art that feature an incredible use of color and detail. “Nature had a very strong influence in my upbringing. Exquisite Photorealistic Portraits Created Using a Ballpoint Pen

Ghana-based artist Enam Bosokah captures incredible likenesses using only a blue ballpoint pen. The stunningly-realistic portrait drawings depict world leaders, writers, as well as children and couples. Bosokah's work showcases emotional scenes in elaborate detail, and it's as if we're looking at cyan-toned photographs rather than hand-crafted creations. The artist's drawings offer a glimpse into his process, and the exquisite images are produced with many layers of pen marks.

Hilarious Science Teacher Adds Creative Additions to Students’ Doodles

Imgur user Squeezymo, a former eighth and ninth grade science teacher in Bangkok, Thailand, included more than just grades on his students’ work. The educator noticed that his kids drew a lot on their papers. So, he established a rule in the classroom: if you draw something, the teacher will add to it, too. Original drawings are in pencil and Squeezymo’s handiwork is in red pen. As you might imagine, this created some hilarious mashups.
