LEGO Unveils Rivendell, the Largest โ€˜Lord of the Ringsโ€™ Set With 6,167 Pieces

Fans of Lord of the Rings will now be able to recreate one of the most recognizable settings from the book and movie franchise. Toy company LEGO recently announced its newest addition to the LEGO Icons seriesโ€”a 6,167-piece set of Rivendell, the fictional Elven town in Middle-Earthโ€”based on J.R.R. Tolkien's fantastical series. Featuring a whole cast of minifigures and an array of recognizable scenes, it is LEGO's largest Lord of the Rings set so far.

LEGO Kit Lets People Make Their Own Version of Hokusaiโ€™s โ€˜The Great Waveโ€™

Few artworks are as recognizable as Hokusai's The Great Wave. Created nearly 200 years ago in the early 1800s, this piece is a hallmark of the ukiyo-e art form or Japanese woodblock prints. Now, fans of this recognizable piece can build it from scratch with a new kit by LEGO. Comprising 1,810 pieces, people can either complete the artwork with the included booklet, or with the help of the LEGO Builder app.
