Love them or hate them, Crocs are known for being some of the most comfortable shoes out there. On top of their cozy appeal, the classic clogs come in a wide array of colors and patterns. But arguably the best part of its design is that it is essentially a blank canvas for fun collaborations. For their latest model, Crocs has teamed up with Pixar to create a clog inspired by Mater, the friendly tow truck from the Cars franchise.
With this collaboration, Mater joins his best friend, Lightning McQueen in getting the Crocs treatment. The red racing car is so popular among Crocs and Pixar fans, that the model has been restocked several times. Aware of how the love for these characters has no age, the Crocs Mater Clogs are offered in adults, kids, and toddler sizes.
To translate Mater's likeness into a shoe, its eyes and signature missing hood take over the upper part, while his cheerful smile shines on the front of the shoe. On the bottom part, a mix of rusty brown and chipped blue pays tribute to Mater's doors. Meanwhile, on the back strap, a little tow hook awaits to help any car that could have gotten in trouble. Mater's A-113 plaque—one of the biggest easter eggs in Pixar movies— completes the design as a tribute to the legacy of this production company.
While the Crocs Mater Clogs are sold out at the moment, you can join a waitlist on the company's site and be the first to know when this model is restocked. To stay up to date with any new models, follow Crocs on Instagram.
