Psychedelic “Wonderland” Installation Celebrates Creativity and Connection

Forest Dancer Exhibition by ENESS

At Quoz Arts Fest 2025 in Dubai, ENESSForest Dancer installation transformed a contemporary architectural space into a psychedelic wonderland. The exhibition—spanning over 600 square meters (about 6,458 square feet)—invited viewers to move freely, while taking in the space’s pulsating lights and sounds.

The temporary, immersive exhibition welcomed guests last month through a gigantic, 9-meter-tall archway adorned with illuminated pixelated patterns. Inside, a collection of soft, inflatable items—including a central, giant mushroom-like character called Forest Dancer—welcomed visitors into the mesmerizing world.

Color-changing trees, “whispering mountains,” stick insects, and a collection of boulder-like bean bags with LED eyes created an inviting, dreamlike atmosphere that welcomed a sense of wonder. ENESS, the art and technology studio who put together the exhibition, explains that the Forest Dancer is a “symbol of creative freedom in the modern world.” The mushroom-like figure symbolizes the joy and fulfillment found in creative expression, and protects guests under her huge, inflatable “skirt.”

This year’s Quoz Arts Fest revolved around the theme of an Arabic proverb that translates to “a hut holds a thousand friends,” sparking creative expressions focused on unity, inclusivity, and interactive experiences for all ages. In a statement about Forest Dancer, ENESS explains, “The entire exhibition is an ode to the power and importance of creativity in the face of online obsession, geopolitical upheaval, and the rise of dark forces taking us far from the soulfulness of art, human connection, and gentle contemplation.”
