The best day to go to any restaurant is on your birthday. Thanks to your personal holiday, establishments are most likely to give you a special treat for just being you. Dad and Imugrian AnotherAnotherJosh proves this theory with his epic tour of free birthday food. On his cake day, he made a staggering 12 stops and got something free from every single one.

Along with his daughter, AnotherAnotherJosh chronicled his glorious food “odyssey,” providing both commentary on the freebies and detailing what he got (for prosperity’s sake.) The dad was bold—even if the restaurant didn’t have a known deal, he asked anyways. It paid off in spades.

The first stop was Dairy Queen. “The manager told me he’s been there for 10 years and has never heard of a birthday deal at DQ,”  AnotherAnotherJosh wrote. “He gave me a free chocolate-dipped twist cone anyway.”

Afterwards, the duo went to Starbucks for a free drink. “It didn't go smoothly, and I had to call the toll-free customer service line to get them to add my drink,” he notes. “Got the drink eventually.” Luckily, that was the worst of it, and there were even some welcome surprises along the way—especially with Honeybaked Ham. “I had no idea they even made sandwiches there. The service was great, as was the sandwich.”

The long day ended at Jamba Juice with a free Mega Mango smoothie, because he “had to have some health food.” So, will he do it again? Oh yes. “Already looking forward to my next birthday.”
