IKEA’s Pet Furniture Collection Lets Your Furry Friends Lounge in Style

IKEA Pet Furniture

If you’re a pet parent with discerning taste, you probably have a hard time finding cat and dog furniture that you actually like. More often than not, their beds and toys look anything but chic. Luckily, a trend has emerged in recent years, and now companies are producing pet products that will complement your stylish decor. IKEA officially entered this market in 2017 with its LURVIG collection, and it has been continuing to update it since that time with products created in partnership with veterinarians as well as “pet-loving designers.”

The LURVIG collection looks at pets’ natural needs and behaviors as a starting point for the design. Cats, for instance, love the protection and coziness of boxes, so IKEA has produced a cubed house for them. It’s large enough to place a pillow inside and can even fit perfectly into a KALLAX shelving unit. Though the kitties want concealment, IKEA knows that dogs love to flop on furniture—especially when they’ve been rolling around outside. It’s why they created a cushion with a removable cover that's machine washable. Your home can be comfortable for your furry friend and fashionably outfitted without breaking the bank.

IKEA has divided the LURVIG collection into two categories for cats and dogs. Refresh your pet furniture (and make your home look great) when you pick up some of their latest printed gear.

Want your pet's furniture to be as stylish as the rest of your home? IKEA's LURVIG collection features products created in partnership with veterinarians.
