Dogs aren’t usually fans of mailmen, but the canines of São Paulo are making an exception for friendly neighborhood postal worker, Angelo Cristiano Da Silva Antunes. He goes by the name “Carteiro Amigo Dos Animais” on social media, which translates to “Animal-friendly postman.” While on his daily route, Antunes takes the time to stop and greet the adorable dogs and cats he meets along the way, and even take a quick selfie with them.
As most animal lovers know, it can sometimes take time to befriend a dog or a cat. That’s why Antunes patiently approaches each pet slowly over time to earn their trust. Today, Antunes shares photos of himself and his adorable buddies online, revealing their undeniable bond. From huge hounds to petite pups, each dog seems to genuinely show love towards Antunes. His photos show them licking his face and giving him cuddles. Even cats are captured showing him affection.
Antunes not only befriends animals, but he also helps those that need of urgent medical care. He often rescues sick cats and dogs and brings them to the local vet for treatment. Antunes actually dreams of opening up his own animal shelter in the future, so he can help even more pets in need.
