We've seen a lot of Matt Wisniewski's black and white mixed media creations here, and now in this recent collection we see a different side of his work. The New York-based artist made this lively, colorful series, Futur Couture, by layering black and white fashion photographs with all sorts of various textures and overlapping landscapes and architecture.
The web developer and visual artist has a strong eye for identifying these successful combinations. His technique involves a lot of experimentation with Photoshop. Once he finds the right combination of photograph and texture, he then develops that idea into these stunning final concepts.
The layers of traditional fashion portraits with blends of vibrant colors, patterns, textures, and nature, add a certain visual curiosity to each image. The talented artist has a way of bringing dream worlds to life with these intriguing visual designs. When asked how he would describe his work, Wisniewski says, “Hauntingly beautiful.”
