Wynwood Walls Celebrates 10 Years of Transformative Street Art in Miami

When real estate mogul Tony Goldman stumbled upon the Miami neighborhood of Wynwood in 2009, he was able to see something that others couldn't. Over the course of 10 years, Goldman's vision transformed the area's anonymous warehouses into blank canvases for some of the world's best street artists. To mark this anniversary, Wynwood Walls is celebrating with a host of new murals, a retrospective exhibition, and a book that celebrates its achievements.

Through her artistic research studio Early Futures, she focuses on finding and documenting these iron-based earth and pigments. This requires her to take to the land. Located in rural northern Washington state, Gustafson scours shorelines and scrapes rocks in order to gather shards.

Street Artist Turns Rundown Walls Into Incredible 3D Graffiti Art

Wielding his spray can like a weapon, French street artist Scaf slices across city walls and transforms them into something magical with his trompe l'oeil graffiti. His creatures, which range from ferocious dinosaurs to snakes and skeletons, seem to emerge from two-dimensional surfaces to take over their environment. The work is made that much better by the whimsical photographs that Scaf takes of each piece.
