Todd Schorr’s Neverlasting Miracles

Recently, artist Todd Schorr celebrated the opening of his show Neverlasting Miracles at the Merry Karnowsky Gallery in Los Angeles, California. A leader of the pop surrealism art movement, Schorr combines a love for recent pop culture, cartoons, and movies with the classic technical perfection of Renaissance masters. His narratives are, “often biting yet humorous in their commentary on the human condition.”

In his biography, Schorr explains, “I was a nervous, high-strung child and my mind was filled with a constantly shifting and swirling vortex of imagery in unnatural juxtapositions and combinations.” And thus was born this eccentric art that brings Schorr's imagination to life. You can see more of this great work here. His show will be up through April 14, 2012 so be sure to get there while you can!
