The UK, Greece, and several Scandinavian nations are among those exploring how creativity can play a bigger role in supporting health and wellbeing. In 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO) reviewed more than 3,500 studies on how the arts can support health and wellbeing.

Amazing Winners of the 2026 International Aerial Photographer of the Year Competition

The International Aerial Photographer of the Year competition has announced the winners of its second edition, after receiving 1,587 entries from photographers around the world. Out of this high-caliber selection, judges narrowed it down to one Photographer of the Year (with two runners-up), one Photograph of the Year (with two runners-up), four special award winners, and a Top 101 that showcases the remarkable breadth of contemporary aerial photography.

Winslow Homer Printmaking and Paintings Are Reunited in an Ambitious Landmark Exhibition

This summer, the Portland Museum of Art (PMA) brings Winslow Homer’s story full circle with Winslow Homer: Painter, Etcher, on view through October 18, 2026. The exhibition gathers a rarely seen collection of his etchings from museums across the country and reunites them, for the first time in decades, with the paintings and watercolors that inspired them.
