Eye-Opening Pompeii Exhibition Reveals Victims Frozen in Final Moments After Eruption
In Pompeii, the past does not feel distant. It lingers on the streets, in the walls, and now, more viscerally than ever, in the bodies of those who never escaped. A newly unveiled permanent exhibition at Pompeii Archaeological Park brings together more than 20 plaster casts of victims from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 CE.
