Photo Contest Celebrates Excellence in Architectural Photography

The proper photography can make a piece of architecture pop by accentuating its design. In awknowledgement of this, the Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) recognizes excellence in the field of architectural photography with its Architecture Photography MasterPrize. Now in its fourth year, it complements the organization's awards for architectural design, product design, and the best architectural firms. Photographers Albrecht Voss and Franco Casaccia were named the overall winners for their exterior and interior photography, respectively.

Astonishingly Painted Throne Room Is Found by Archeologists in an Ancient Peruvian Site

A recent archeological discovery has taken aback researchers in Peru. A stunningly painted throne room from the Moche culture was found in Pañamarca, located atop a granite hill in the lower Nepeña Valley. The Moche, a society that lived between about 350 and 850 C.E. in northern Peru, has been at the center of exciting findings in the last few years—yet none may be as revealing as this one.

South African Couple Criticized for KFC Proposal Gets Dream Wedding Donated to Them

Some couples have grand, lavish proposals with high production value. Meanwhile, others choose smaller, meaningful moments to pop the question. Such was the case of a South African man named Hector Mkansi, who asked his partner, Nonhlanhla Soldaat, to marry him at KFC. While the gesture met some pushback, in the end, it all turned out alright for the couple. For all the warmth of the gesture, this wasn't Soldaat and Mkansi's first rodeo–or proposal.
