Sagrada Família Reaches Full Height as Gaudí’s Central Tower Is Completed

The soaring central tower of the Sagrada Família now rises to its full height, bringing to life a vision that Antoni Gaudí first conceived in the 19th century. On February 20, 2026, crews installed the final element of the spire, an illuminated four-armed cross. As a result, the basilica reached 172.

Soccer Player Rushes to Aid and Perform CPR on Seagull Hit by Ball Mid-Game in Istanbul

Seagulls are extremely common creatures in Istanbul. In fact, they’re even considered a symbol of the coastal city. However, the creature’s omnipresence resulted in one of them being in the wrong place at the wrong time. During a soccer match between Mevlanakapi Guzelhisar and Istanbul Yurdum Spor, who were disputing the Istanbul 1st Amateur League Play-Off Final, a seagull was accidentally hit by a ball. Luckily, a heroic player rushed to save its life.

Body Parts Emerge From the Walls of This Surreal Art Bar in Rome

Inspired by Italy’s art bars of the ’70s and ’80s, sculptor Clementine Keith-Roach and painter Christopher Page created Bar Far in Rome, Italy. The surreal space—featuring plaster-cast body parts emerging from walls, floors, and furniture—invites visitors to have a drink in an eerie, dreamlike world. Vittoria Bonifati, founder and creative director of the non-profit space Villa Lontana, approached the artists while searching for an imaginative way to introduce the organization’s new home in Trastevere.
