Costco Is Now Selling 1-Ounce Gold Bars for Under $2,000

For many Americans, Costco is the go-to store for bulk purchases of food and household items. However, the retail warehouse has a variety of offerings, including electronics, appliances, and even insurance. Now, they've added gold bars to the mix. Small and ornately decorated, the 1-ounce gold PAMP Suisse Lady Fortuna Veriscan bars can only be purchased by Costco members via the website and cannot be found in person at a Costco store.

Rare Photos of the Aurora Australis (Southern Lights) Filling the Sky With Energy

Most of us know of the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, but did you know that the Southern Hemisphere has its own natural light show? Photographer Dan Zafra of Capture the Atlas traveled to southern New Zealand, where he was able to photograph the Aurora Australis, also known as the Southern Lights. While not as widely known as its northern companion, the Southern Lights put on just as good a display.

Haley Van Voorhis Makes History as the First Non-Kicker Female to Play in a NCAA Football Game

A young woman named Haley Van Voorhis has made NCAA football history. The 19-year-old became the first female player outside the kicker position to appear in an NCAA football game. A safety for Shenandoah University, Van Voorhis and her team beat Juniata College 48-7 in a Division-III game on Saturday, September 23. Van Voorhis entered the game with a minute left in the first quarter.
