Zaha Hadid Architects Designs Futuristic Science Fiction Museum in China That “Floats” on Water

Chengdu, China, is an important hub for the science fiction community, having launched the careers of many important Chinese authors over the past 50 years. To honor this heritage, the city commissioned Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) to design the new Chengdu Science Fiction Museum. The futuristic building is situated in the core area of Jingrong Lake within the Science & Innovation New City of Chengdu’s Pidu District and appears to float on water.

Architects Place Innovative Open Garden in Center of Seoul Skyscraper

Seoul will be home to a new innovative residential tower designed by New York-based ODA. The highly aesthetic design takes into consideration the artistic sensibilities of Seoul's citizens; and for this, it won the competition to create the mixed-use skyscraper. Terrarium Cheong-dam features a two-story public podium that supports a 45-floor tower. In the middle, a semi-private terrarium and sky garden bring a touch of greenery to the skies.
