Humans often think ourselves different from the animal kingdom, differentiated by our ability to think and create with tools. But in reality, apes, otters, birds, octopuses, and many other animals use tools, too. In fact, beyond not being the only modern creatures to use tools, humans were not event the first. Discoveries of stone tools have shown that early hominids, not “human” members of the later Homo genus, used stone flake tools in daily life.

Phillies Baseball Player Helps Young Boy Find His Family Before the Game

The crowds of a major league baseball game can be overwhelming, especially for children. When 7-year-old Caleb was at the Philadelphia Phillies stadium last weekend, he got separated from his family, which understandably caused the young boy to break down in tears. Unsure of who to turn to, little Caleb was fortunately approached by Phillies right fielder Bryce Harper. The baseball player kindly helped him find his brothers and grandmother.

Mattel Releases “Weird Barbie” Doll Based on ‘Barbie’ Movie Character

All around the world, people are flocking to see Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie, and it's easy to understand. From its fluorescent pink set design to playful costuming, it's a visual treat from start to finish. In addition to the many “typical” Barbies and Kens who graced the screen, there was one character who certainly stood out from the rest: Weird Barbie.
