Baker Turns Beloved Pop Culture Icons into Deliciously Detailed Pies

From patterned pasta to vegetable sculptures, more and more artists are creating surprising works of art with food. Jessica Leigh Clark-Bojin (of The Pieous) is another one of these talented food artists—she bakes mouth-watering, creative pie crust designs based on pop culture characters.

The humble pie might not be the first thing you think of when it comes to beautiful food, but Clark-Bojin turns baking into an impressive art form. She says, “My mission is to show the world that not only can pies go head-to-head against the poshest wedding cakes and fancy-pants desserts on the most discerning buffet tables of the world, but that they can be fun and easy to pull off too!”

From Disney princess pies to famous musicians commemorated with pastry, each incredible pie crust design is clearly made with a lot of love and attention to detail. The talented baker even created a pie to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing, complete with an edible Apollo 11 Eagle lunar module. Having been fascinated with space exploration since she was a child, Clark-Bojin baked the pie to share her passion with her son. She writes on Instagram: “To me, space exploration represents the best of mankind as scientists across borders, religions, and political affiliations work together to accomplish things bigger than any one person or nation, for the good of all of us.”
