Adorable Dalmatian Has Lovely Heart-Shaped Spots Around His Eyes

Charlie the Dalmatian with Heart Eyes

Charlie the Dalmatian is the living canine version of the heart eyes emoji. Ever since the pup was small, he has rocked two distinctive heart-shaped spots over both of his eyes. With this adorable characteristic—as well as his playful personality and faithful companionship—you can't help but fall in love with him!

It wasn’t always clear that Charlie would have such special markings. When his human, Halieigh, adopted him at seven weeks old, he didn’t have many spots at all. Around month four was when the hearts began to take shape. As Charlie got older, they became more pronounced. Now at a year old, he’s hard to miss.

Like other special-looking dogs and cats, Charlie doesn’t realize that his heart eyes have made him an internet celebrity. He’s like any other pup and enjoys traipsing along the beach, going for hikes, and snuggling with his human. Scroll down for some of our favorite Charlie portraits. Then, follow his antics on his popular Instagram.
