We’ve been following Tel-Aviv-based illustrator Yehuda Devir’s ongoing comic series, One of Those Days, for years now. His charming drawings hilariously document his life with his wife Maya, demonstrating the love they have for one another. From loved-up moments and silly tiffs to their long journey to pregnancy, the adorable pair have been through it all. But their most recent news has made both their real lives and comics all the more exciting—they’ve just welcomed their newborn daughter, Ariel!
From changing diapers to sleepless nights, Devir’s comics are all too relatable for those who have kids. But although having a newborn baby is challenging, the artist’s illustrations show that it has also brought a whole lot of love and joy into their world. The family’s illustrated doppelgängers show the pair lovingly doting over their first child, who’s adorably captured with a full head of thick, black hair—a trait she no doubt got from her mom.
Having gained a devoted following online, Devir excitedly announced the amazing news on Instagram: “After 17 hours of endless labor pains we did it!!! We received a new angel to the family!!!” The artist followed the announcement with wonderful snippets of daily life as new parents.
