2025 Spotlight Awards Highlight Incredible Talent in Commercial Photography

The landscape of commercial photography is vast. Whether shooting elegant fashion spreads or finding creative ways to photograph a car, commercial photographers help shape the way we see the world. To honor their creative contributions, the 2025 Spotlight Awards recognized 15 photographers across a wide variety of categories. Family Finally Meet the Boy Who They Sponsored for Decades and Grew up To Be a Medical Researcher

For Edward Kankaka, life didn’t have an easy start. Born in HIV-stricken Uganda, he lost his father before turning four, having to be raised by his grandmother. On the other side of the world, Bruce and Margaret Anschau, an Australian couple, had made a promise. For every kid they had, they would sponsor one in need. Through the Christian charity Compassion, they learned about little Edward, supporting him through many decades.
