15 Incredible Pavilion Designs for Osaka Expo 2025

With just nine months left until Osaka Expo 2025, construction is in full swing. Held on an artificial island—Yumeshima in Osaka Bay—the event was masterplanned by Sou Fujimoto Architects with the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” At the core of the six-month event are the incredible National Pavilions that will fill the space. 47th Kennedy Center Honors Announces Five Recipients Including The Apollo Theater

John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has recently revealed the five artists who will receive the 47th Kennedy Center Honors this winter. The recipients of the awards this year are Francis Ford Coppola, members of The Grateful Dead—Mickey Hart, Billy Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, and Bobby Weir—Bonnie Raitt, Arturo Sandoval, and The Apollo Theater in New York.

The History of Camera Obscura and How It Was Used as a Tool To Create Art in Perfect Perspective

Before the invention of the photographic camera, transferring a real-life image onto a sheet of paper or another flat surface was no easy feat. Renaissance artist and inventor Leonardo da Vinci first described a mechanism that would make drawing in perfect perspective much easier to achieve, something that would later be known as camera obscura. Rather than meticulously measuring out the lengths and angles of a subject or scene, camera obscura offers a shortcut.
