Street Artist Unveils Ashamed Statue of Liberty Mural in Response to ICE Raids in the U.S.

Unveiled just before the Fourth of July, Judith de Leeuw unveiled a mural, which shows the Statue of Liberty covering her eyes in shame, and caused a sensation. The piece, which was painted in France for the URBX Festival in Roubaix, is a direct response to President Donald Trump’s recent immigration policies and mass deportations.

The Paris and New York City-based Crosby Studios, run by Henry Nuriev, is known for its industrial aesthetic. By partnering with Flover, a floral design studio, it created Flower Room. This installation fuses nature with minimalism to create a fascinating result.
