These Heartwarming Animal Comics Teach the Value of Friendship and Kindness

In a bid to simply spread some joy, Malaysian artist Chow Hon Lam creates an ongoing comic series called Buddy Gator. It features an alligator as the main character, but he’s nowhere near as scary as gators are often perceived to be. This particularly friendly creature is a reminder to “never judge a book by its cover.” Lam started illustrating his comic around a year ago during the start of the pandemic.

Artist Creates Miniature ‘Tokyo Olympic Games’ Scenes Using Face Masks and Figurines

The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games were postponed last year because of COVID-19, but the highly anticipated Opening Ceremony is finally due to go ahead on July 23, 2021. The event will be the first major global gathering since the global pandemic began. However, with social distancing measures in place, it will look a lot different than previous years. Just 1,000 spectators will be present at the 68,000-seat Olympic Stadium.

NASA and USPS Unveil Glimmering Stamps To Celebrate 10 Years of Sun Observation

To kick off the summer, USPS has teamed up with NASA to release a glimmering collection of stamps that celebrate 10 years worth of images of the Sun. Printed with a foil treatment, the 10 designs are derived from some of the Sun’s most alluring phenomena captured by the Solar Dynamics Observatory, to illustrate different sun chronicles such as plasma blasts, sunspots, and solar flares. Crows are incredibly smart. Researchers have already discovered that these sleek, dark birds possess primary, or sensory, consciousness—the ability possessed by humans and some primates to merge memories to think in terms of past and present. A recent paper published in The Journal of Neuroscience expands the wealth of knowledge on these clever creatures. In the study, researchers discovered that crows can comprehend the concept of zero. Zero is actually a rather recent mathematical invention.
