Last month, a pack of animals cascaded onto the banks of the Congo River. From afar, the giraffes, gorillas, wildebeests, and elephants that form the stampede seem real enough. Look closer, however, and the puppeteers emerge, gently manipulating animal limbs into fluid movement.
