In doing so, they create an uncanny resemblance to a face and a full head of hair. Guys are furthering this bizarre illusion by digitally drawing eyes and a mouth onto their necks. Some even add a real pair of glasses.
The beard face trend is strange enough to have a subreddit dedicated to it. Aptly called Underbeard, its mission is simple. “Your beard has a face,” the community explains. “Get to know him…or her.” The results are delightful and outlandish as people imagine the vibrant personalities that live beneath their chins.
One of the most popular underbeards is from Redditor o_TWICKS_o. He posted a picture of his friend’s neck and beard that has a striking kinship to Beaker from the Muppets. Now all he needs is Dr. Honeydew!
