Hand-Crafted Notebooks Combine Beautiful Embroidery with Scientific Illustrations

Athens-based shop Fabulous Cat Papers combines the beauty of embroidery and vintage scientific illustrations into one-of-a-kind notebooks. The covers feature printed anatomical drawings, geometric designs, and nature scenes that are meticulously enhanced with cotton thread. Stitching adds a special three-dimensional element to the flat illustrations–threaded veins course through heads while the golden ratio now has a rainbow-colored, tactile twist.

Each notebook is produced by hand, using traditional book-making techniques. The Japanese stab binding approach affixes a front and back cover to 50 sheets of white paper. Every product is made to order, allowing you to choose a notebook with plain, ruled, or gridded stationary.

The cover art, with its science-minded themes, makes these notebooks perfect for nature lovers, medical students, or anyone else with an affinity for the subject matter. Check out more of Fabulous Cat's offerings on Etsy.
