Taiwanese Couple Puts a Hilarious Twist on Famous “Follow Me” Travel Photos

In 2013, photographer Murad Osmann found a creative way to document his travels with Follow Me To, a multi-year series in which his girlfriend (now wife) extended her hand and led him around the world. This unique point of view inspired others to snap their own photos in the same manner, often echoing Osmann’s romantic and dreamy tone. However, one couple, Forrest Lu and Agnes Chien, decided to have some fun with the #followmeto meme.

The Taiwanese husband and wife used the same format as the famous Follow Me To photos but added their own cheeky twist while vacationing Hawaii. Whereas Osmann followed quietly behind his beau, Lu does not go so willingly, nor is he taken gently by the hand. Instead, Chien pulls him by his hair, ear, and even nostrils, dragging him to different sights around the island. At the same time, Lu makes exaggerated expressions that are sure make you chortle.

The couple’s pictures might not be the most glamorous or scenic travel photos, but they’re definitely a fun alternative to the travel selfies that populate social media.
