Slovenian artist Polona (of SheWolfka) transforms ordinary ceramic and enamel mugs with charming animal paintings. From pet portraits to forest creatures, the talented artist works on both personalized commissions and her own visions. “Each art piece has its own story to tell,” she says. “Each thing I create is something where I put my magic, my soul and heart to.”
For one ceramic cup, Polona hand-painted a pretty scene of a fox nestled among forest foliage and fireflies. For another piece, she transformed a yellow enamel coffee pot with a painting of a beautiful bunny. No matter the animal, each unique mug, bowl, or cup evokes enchanting tales of the natural world and the creatures that inhabit it. “When I was a kid, mom just gave me the colors and blank paper and I fell into my imaginary world,” Polona reveals, “I think It's important to keep the magic of childhood with you all the time.”
