Everyone wonders what they’ll look like when they’re older. Well, as it turns out, there's an app for that—it's called FaceApp. With this app that has recently gone viral you can get a peek into how you’ll age. The app, available on Android and iOS, takes a picture of you and transforms your portrait into one with gray hair and wrinkles. If you’re someone that is curious to see the future, it can be hard to resist trying it out.

FaceApp has been around since 2017, but it only recently got really good at revealing what you’ll look like in 30 years. Because of this, the app has captivated everyone, including celebrities. The Jonas Brothers, Jared Leto, and Mindy Kaling are just some of the famous faces who have been transformed with artificial intelligence.

Although it’s a fun exercise to see yourself decades from now, be aware that FaceApp has raised some privacy concerns. Developed by the Russian firm Wireless Lab, it uses neural networks to analyze and then edit your photos. By uploading images, FaceApp could be using them to train facial recognition technology that might then be sold to another party. Beyond that, the terms of service grants Wireless Lab the right to reproduce your image or do more than just age you, such as changing your gender or changing the expression on your face.

So, enjoy the photos for now, but also be aware of what you are signing up for.
