Are you the ultimate Star Wars fan? If so, you’ll be happy to know that it’s now easier than ever to outfit your home with Star Wars-themed kitchen items. Le Creuset, a company known for its high-end enamel pots and dutch ovens, has recently unveiled its line of Star Wars pans, trivets, and more. Finally, you’ve found the droids you were looking for, and they’re very helpful when it comes to cooking your favorite casseroles.
If you’re wondering whether the collection aligns with the dark or light side of the Force, it actually shows no allegiance. It features a range of products highlighting both the Rebel Alliance and the Dark Side. Their offering includes dutch ovens and mini cocottes that resemble BB-8, R2-D2, and C-3PO as well as a Darth Vader dutch oven. Of the cookware, however, there is one stand-out piece—the “Han Solo in Carbonite” roaster. It recalls the famous scene from The Empire Strikes Back in which everyone's favorite intergalactic smuggler is frozen in carbonite and delivered to Jabba the Hutt.
The prices of the collection range from $20 for trivets to $450 for the cast iron cookers. In the same vein—but produced in a much more limited edition—is a hand-painted Tatooine dutch oven inspired by the desert planet and its binary sunsets. There are nine available and the cost reflects its scarcity with a price tag of $900.
The Star Wars x Le Creuset collection will be available online and in stores on November 1, 2019.
