Get Creatively Outfitted With Art History You Can Wear

Art History You Can Wear at My Modern Met Store

What you wear can tell people a lot about you. Like it or not, everything, from your shirt and shoes to socks and earrings, gives an at-a-glance look at color preferences and even your interests. For art history lovers, there’s no better way to express your adoration for the subject than by displaying it on your ears, feet, or around your shoulder. Get outfitted in a variety of wearable art history when you shop our selection at My Modern Met Store.

Regardless of the context, wearable art history adds a statement-making element to every ensemble. If you’re a fan of jewelry, the brand Yellow Owl Workshop has you covered with a set of Cubist Mismatched Earrings inspired by the artwork of Picasso or Andy Warhol for a more modern aesthetic. Niaski is another maker, but focuses instead on enamel pins you can attach to your lapel, bag, and more. The offerings feature famous artists but with a twist—they’ve been reimagined as cats.

Feel creative from your head down to your toes (literally) with socks by ChattyFeet. The punny designs are also inspired by artists, like Yayoi Toesama, as well as single artworks like the Screamy Ed socks. But maybe you want to dress like an artist—wearing all black, donning a beret—and instead accessorize with a practical bag. Look no further than LOQI with a collection of totes and weekender bags that are covered in famous artworks like The Great Wave by Japanese artist Hokusai. The sizable carry-all is perfect for farmer’s market outings and other shopping trips.
