Baker Tops Cakes With Perfectly Piped Bouquets of Realistic Buttercream Flowers

When it comes to cake decorating, we’re often left in awe of talented artisans who create exquisite works of edible art with colorful fondant and frosting. One food artist to perfect the art of crafty confections is Seoul-based Atelier Soo, who tops her cakes with beautiful bouquets of realistic buttercream flowers.

Often commissioned for special events like weddings, each of Soo’s single-tiered cakes features an abundance of textured buttercream blooms, meticulously arranged on top of pastel-colored fondant bases. Incredibly lifelike, each edible flower is expertly formed by building piped layers of velvet-like petals. Featuring soft color gradients and two-tone leaves, Soo’s painterly piping style captures the beauty of a garden in springtime.

When she’s not creating delectable desserts, Soo also teaches classes on how to perfect your own buttercream flower cake. Follow Atelier Soo on Instagram to see more of these sweet floral feasts.
