There are plenty of great reasons why you should get the COVID-19 vaccine: it helps protect you and others around you from getting the virus, and it can keep you from getting seriously ill even if you do get COVID-19. For those that might need a little more convincing, Krispy Kreme recently announced that customers who show proof of vaccination will be able to get two free doughnuts every day at their local store.
Krispy Kreme was previously offering one free treat to everyone who can show proof of vaccination, but now it's sweetened its Show Your Heart campaign to two. Customers who are protected against COVID-19 can now enjoy a free Original Glazed doughnut as well as the chain’s new heart-shaped glazed treat (or share it with someone you love). The announcement came two days after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) gave full approval to the Pfizer vaccine.
So far, the American doughnut company and coffeehouse chain has given away over 2.5 million glazed doughnuts so far, and it has plenty more sweet edibles to share. “We all hoped we'd be near the end of this pandemic by now. We're not,” Krispy Kreme's Chief Marketing Officer Dave Skena said in a press release. “So, please consider getting vaccinated if you've not done so already. And then enjoy and share two amazing doughnuts with our heart-felt thanks.”
If you’re in the U.S., all you have to do is show your vaccination card at your local Krispy Kreme store. You’ll be given two free doughnuts, and you can even come back the next day for more. The Show Your Heart campaign is taking place from August 30 to September 5, and after that, vaccinated people can still get one free doughnut every day for the rest of the year.
From August 30 to September 5, Krispy Kreme is giving away two free doughnuts to all vaccinated customers.
Show Your Heart! 1 week only starting 8/30. 2 FREE doughnuts for vaccinated guests. Share the Original Glazed Heart with someone you love and enjoy an Original Glazed, both doughnuts are on us. US Shops only. Info at https://t.co/PhfLHWrK78 pic.twitter.com/JXAXjCPjXf
