In terms of cameras, 2018 was the year of the Leica M. Over the last year, the iconic rangefinder has been repeatedly reimagined, culminating in cameras that are textured, quiet, and even collectible. In addition to updating the older model, however, the Leica brand has also transformed it into a toy fit for photographers and LEGO lovers alike.
The new Leica M LEGO sets pair the classic look of a Leica M with the fun of a brick-building kit. Though these model cameras measure just two inches high when assembled, they're packed with all the details that define the Leica M, including setting dials, a shutter, a rear display, a clear viewfinder, and camera strap mounts.
This miniature model comes in two color schemes: Black/Gray and Brown/Gray. Though the kits are available in Leica's Miami store, building guides must be downloaded from designer Chris McVeigh's website. Once you've gotten your hands on the “how-to's,” you'll be building your own tiny rangefinder in no time!
Designer Chris McVeigh and LEGO have teamed up to create a Leica M model kit. Each set lets you build your own toy version of the iconic rangefinder.
