Service Therapy Dog Is Given “Dogtorate” by University of Maryland Baltimore

Graduation is a big day for anybody, but it's especially exciting for a 5-year-old Rottweiler named Loki. The clever pup has been training as a service therapy dog while her owner, Dr. Caroline Benzel, was working through medical school. This Tuesday, she was awarded an honorary “Dogtorate” of Medicine by the University of Maryland Baltimore as recognition for her contributions to patients at the hospital.

Circular Exhibition Center in Shanghai Wrapped in Undulating Staircase Inspired by Chinese Moon Bridges

Heatherwick Studio is adding its creative touch to Shanghai's West Bund waterfront by designing a large exhibition space that is currently under construction. Called the West Bund Orbit, its design encourages the public to experience the building from both the interior and exterior. Wrapped in undulating ribbons that act as staircases, it's intended to become a new landmark on the Huangpu riverside.

Mesmerizing Light Pendants Move in Tandem With Soundscape in Immersive Installation

With a history stretching back to the late 1500s, Saint-Louis is heralded as France's first glass manufacturer. Even today, the company is still praised for its high-quality artisan creations in crystal glass, specifically in regard to lighting. In 2023, Saint-Louis's beautiful light fixtures were put on display in an immersive exhibition titled LUMIÈRES at the Santa Maria del Carmine church for Milan Design Week. Saint-Louis worked in collaboration with Nonotak Studio to create the experience.

The climate crisis is unavoidable, and it seeps into nearly every facet of our lives. Artist Antonio Segura, aka Dulk, expresses this idea through his colorful works that both celebrate nature’s biodiversity and consider its demise. His surreal paintings appear in his exhibition titled Heritage, now on display at Thinkspace in Los Angeles. The images are of animals that seem to be looking at what's beyond them.
