Queen Elizabeth II of England recently turned 96 years young. To celebrate this momentous occasion, she shared a new official photo with the public via her social media accounts. The image features the queen standing between two of her white fell ponies named Bybeck Katie and Bybeck Nightingale on the grounds of Windsor Castle. She’s dressed in a dark green coat, which has poignant meaning as being her late husband Prince Phillip’s livery color.

Street Artist Adds Eye-Mazing Murals With Detailed Reflections of the City

A UK-based artist known as My Dog Sighs creates stunning murals that will make you look twice. For several years now, they have been adding realistic paintings of eyes onto walls across England. Each blue, green, and purple iris contains a mysterious reflection that tells a story. One of their most recent projects was completed in Plymouth, depicting a single large eye with feathery long lashes and an emerald green center.

Pink Floyd Reunites To Perform a Resistance Anthem With a Ukrainian Musician

Ukrainians are still holding their ground and defending against the invading Russian forces eight weeks into the brutal conflict. Like with most wars, stories of heroism emerge which remind the world that courage, love, and even art play an important role in withstanding atrocity. Inspired by Ukrainian musician Andriy Khlyvnyuk, the band Pink Floyd reunited to release a protest and resistance anthem entitled Hey Hey, Rise Up!

Artist Creates Serene Faces From Thousands of Burnt Wood Sticks

Sculptor Gil Bruvel is pushing the limits of his craft with a new set of pixelated portraits. Primarily crafted from thousands of wood sticks, these anonymous faces are painted in colorful gradients that accentuate their features. This series of masks, as well as several steel sculptures, are currently on display at Galerie Montemarte as part of the Face to Face exhibition. In this exhibit, Bruvel's sculptures are paired with painted portraits by Italian artist Silvio Porzionato.
