When you think of all the online window shopping you do in a year, the amount is probably staggering. It seems like there are new and exciting products being released all the time—and we can attest that there are. Throughout 2017, we’ve looked at a ton of creative goods, from whimsical accessories to practical outdoor gear, and shared some of our favorite findings with you.
One product we loved this year was the Shoal Floating tent from Smithfly. With this innovative invention, you can sleep under the stars while you drift on the open water, making the world your waterbed. All you need is an adventurous spirit and to find a tranquil lake!
While Smithfly’s creation is a big-ticket item, there were other products that won our heart—and many fit comfortably on your desk. Another favorite is the Penguin Bomb by paper engineer Haruki Nakamura. His smile-inducing creation starts as a flattened paper disc that transforms into a delightful penguin character when it taps the table top. We are proud to say that this toy is available in the My Modern Met Store, our newly launched online shop that features a highly curated selection of products from makers around the world. Best of all, most of them have made an appearance on My Modern Met before.
