Japanese Baker Serves Super Cute Cookies Shaped Like Adorable Little Hamsters

We're no stranger to animal-shaped treats. We've fawned over beloved animals taking shape as rabbit cakes, corgi buns, and cat loaves over the years, but it's not every day that you come across confections shaped like hamsters. Fortunately, dessert artist Mocha Mocha is filling that void with her tiny, cream-colored cookies.

These adorable biscuits are modeled after adorably rotund hamsters, with oval-shaped bodies and rounded ears, feet, and tails. Mocha Mocha keeps the style of the cookie fairly simple to maintain the kawaii effect. Each treat even features a minimalist face with just a pair of small, wide-set black eyes that are either open and awake or closed into thick black lines—as though the hamster is dozing off.

Mocha Mocha doesn't limit her tasty practice to just one type of animal, though. Some of her other cookies are shaped like scruffy dogs with floppy ears and expressive eyebrows, and cartoon-like teddy bears that are sprawled in different positions. Sometimes, she also uses her skills to add a whimsical touch to the tops of cupcakes, like icing sculpted into the shape of happy pups.
