Over the last couple of years, 21-year-old Olivia Rodrigo has become one of the top names in pop music. And despite her young age, she holds the professionalism and poise of someone who has been in the business for decades. The best example of this is a recent unfortunate fall the singer experienced during a show. Still, Rodrigo recovered in spectacular fashion.
The mishap took place during Rodrigo's fourth night playing Melbourne, Australia, as part of her GUTS World Tour. Running from one side of the stage to the other to greet her audience, the singer fell through a fairly large trap door. After taking a scary tumble, Rodrigo quickly climbed out by herself. Like the pro that she is, she stood up quickly and let the audience and her team know she was unharmed.
“Oh my god, that was fun, I'm OK,” Rodrigo can be heard saying in a video of the incident, recorded by fan. “Sometimes there's just a hole in the stage! That's alright. OK, where was I? How are you doing tonight, Melbourne?” Looking back at the incident with good humor, the singer posted a remixed version of the fall video to her own TikTok account.
Fans even praised Rodrigo's graceful reaction, and acknowledged how bad the fall looked. Still, it looks like the singer only needed a bandage on her finger after the accident. Now, hopefully nothing will prevent the singer from finishing her successful world tour smoothly.
If you haven't been able to catch her live show, Rodrigo's GUTS World Tour movie is coming to Netflix on October 29.
