Husband and wife duo Alexander Clinthorne and Kimberlie Wong (of Two Hold Studios) craft ceramic planters that are sure to make you smile. Ideal for housing succulents and other small leafy friends, each handmade “Pondering Planter” and “Sleeping Cutie” is shaped like adorable characters that will feel right at home perched on your desk.
Now based in Oahu, Hawaii, Clinthorne and Wong first met in 2011 while both studying for a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Since then, they have both gone on to develop their own bodies of work, but they also join forces (and talents) to create their hand-built and hand-painted planters. Their Etsy shop is full of colorful ceramic characters, each ready to accommodate small house plants and flower arrangements. Featuring cute faces, ears, and hand-painted outfits, whatever you plant atop of their heads will appear as leafy hairstyles and headdresses.
